Meetings: The group meets at General on the third Thursday of the month at 14:00

We are a very friendly group of book worms who love to share books that have given us pleasure. In addition to the monthly group read there is a lot of sharing of books and book-based chat. Group members discuss and choose which books we read. We usually plan our reading list three months in advance.

We try to keep our books affordable and tend to avoid newly published books until they come down in price. Members share info on used book outlets and support members who do not have internet access. There is no compulsion to read or finish any book that you are not enjoying. We all read for pleasure not pain! We read books suggested by group members and have read a great variety of different genres, reading books that we might never have chosen to read ourselves but have really enjoyed. We do try to keep group numbers at a comfortable level that encourages all members to participate fully.
