Birdwatching Group
Maggie Harrison
Meetings: The group meets at General on the third Friday of the month at 10:00
Please contact the Group Leader first to find out if the group can accept new members.

We meet on the second or third Friday of the month, at 10.00am at the agreed stating location. (Members are advised accordingly)

We walk and try to identify birds by both sightings and song; walks are not usually longer than 3 miles and we aim to finish by 12.30 - 1pm.  If there is a suitable coffee stop nearby we may stop for refreshments at the end.  We tend to stay reasonably local, for example, Sence Valley Forest Park, Thornton Reservoir, Cossington Meadows, The Wreake Valley, Asfordby Lakes and Watermead Park.  We keep a detailed bird log for every site.

We are an enthusiastic group of bird watches who like to share our knowledge and learn from each other.

We currently have a membership of 12, which really is enough for effective birdwatching!  We will operate a waiting list if necessary, but the formation of another group may be the better option.

For any enquires, please contact Maggie Harrison, Group Leader. (maggie.harrison23@gmail.com)
